For those whose love has been torn apart.

I love stuff like this (I've made one myself though it's a fair few years old now).

To a few this will appear "gay" or "emo" but to those of us who can relate to this are touched. Myself included.

I know the emphasis was on emotion rather than great animation. While it was there, it was quite minimal but the expressions delivered by the characters were enough to convey what you meant to.

The music was fitting. It was sweet and helped jerk that little tear out of the corner of my eye alongside the animation itself.

Really nice work. Thanks for making something most of us can relate to.

YEEAAH!

I still like it. I couldn't quite remember what happened at the end so I laughed when I saw it again.

ZaneAsylum responds:

Thanks bro! I appreciate your support ^^

Nice!

I like the souds and the voices. It was really charming. I remember doing drawings like that while being bored at school.

trul responds:

maybe u still have these drawings? I'm very curious to see!

Nice

Not bad but I feel there could have been more animation rather than fade outs and tweens. The direction was pretty good and the mood was well set. You do need to work on your drawing skills. Work on the human form and stop using traces from official works. I noticed the first view of the girl was basically Rukia from Bleach and others I think were of Orihime. You won't get any better from tracing. References are fine and perfectly ok. Use pictures of real people and get a feel of how the human form looks.

Jestercap13 responds:

thank you, i thought it would be a bad idea, i just had problems finding real people that fit the stlye but my next animation i will make sure is alot more original.

Haaah!

Really enjoyed that. A fan of anime myself so the content was already good for me.
At first though, I thought it would be a poorly animated piece mostly relying on motion-tweens but as the music actually got going and more stylish animation was introduced through the piece, I found myself really really enjoying it. It's cute, it's catchy, it's loud, colourful, well drawn and stylish. All the while retaining the overall feel of an anime intro. Keep working on your animation, I'm sure you're gonna get so much better at this.

YunaSakura responds:

Thanks! :D I just love colorful stuff

That actually gave me a dry smile

I love the fact that you've parodied Skittles N' Bitz... We were all getting tired of the same old fart jokes and they were never funny! Cock jokes are where it's at these days. Good job, fellas!

Emanhattan responds:

well... it was CRITIC at cock jokes.... and how exagerated can they be.

Excellent

A really interesting, dark and slightly disturbing story from what I see in the trailer and some absolutely quality animation. I see people bashing the anime genre but I guess that's because it's 'trendy' and now people think it's a good excuse to hate anything anime.
As this is (probably) a hobby for you, why should you want to make anything different than something you love? I say keep going and realise your full potential!
I'm looking forward to seeing the finished thing (By hearing the voice acting, I'm guessing it's already in production). I'm sure it will stun us all. Even the anime haters!

SpikeVallentine responds:

It's been done more than a month ago! ^_^

Thank you for your support and appreciation.

Hmm...

I'm not sure if I enjoyed it or not. You're an excellent artist I can say that much but as other people have said, not the best animator/director or storyteller.

I found the camera movements quite irritating as they were way too dynamic in quite calm scenes. Try to still them in your next episode. You also need to work on your tweening and maybe use some more conventional frame by frame animation to make the characters look more natural whilst moving. In my opinion, tweening is for non-organic things like cars and such unless you can REALLY nail down that perfect movement through tweening for your characters.

I also found that the aliens were exposed too early and maybe you were too eager to show off your work that has gone towards making them. Alex seemed too comfortable too early, she was kicking and screaming inside her tube until she broke out and then she was kicking ass like noone's business. She also knew what to do with the suit as soon as those spikes were absorbed. I was also taken aback by the fact that she just left her fellow humans inside those tubes. Wouldn't any normal person set them free in an attempt to get help?

A lot more thought should have been put into this animation. Although it's pretty, the story is weak and feels rushed, it certainly didn't pull me in and the animation and direction is very messy.

Unlike the others, I didn't have a problem with the voice acting. I thought it was ok. And like I said, the art that has been put into making everything in this animation was obviously painstaking and it really does show. You just need to research good composition and storytelling, I recommend studying Valhalla Knight in depth.

This is constructive critisism and as I am currently studying everything that I've raised (composition, etc), I know what I'm talking about.

Good luck in your next piece.

i understand. yes. i'll work on things. but part of the review is a result of things i've left out on purpose. i know. everyone is going to be mad about this. but i swear everything will be explained. even then ppl will say, "Gah that sucked, wasn't worth the confusion." but i'm not making this for them. this is for ppl that want to figure it out and understand. but i'm trying to improve. just takes a lot of work. and it's just me doing this. sure i have several friends working on the story with me. but the rest is up to me. and that is wat ppl are reacting so negatively toward. it'll get better.

I love it!

Especially when fellow english creators do the voices. Your northern monkey voice taking the piss out of all these games had me in stitches. Jimmy Carr and Bingo Wings Man. Fuckin awesome mate! Let's see some more!!

lenkalamari responds:

I wish Jimmy Carr WAS in a megaman game so I could shoot his potato head with the megabuster.
